Ah! Hirari Shinzo, the once-samurai, now-ronin Shade in the Feudal Era.
Over six-thousand years old, Hirari is the definition of "ladies' man". He flirts unknowingly with almost all women, which gets him into fits of trouble all the time.
Hirari was a samurai under his master, Shintaro Toshiaki, until his former master killed Hirari's father out of misunderstanding; Shintaro believed Hirari's father was behind the countless assassinations of the last few emperors in their lands.
After slaying his master, Hirari went ronin, nearly disgracing all honor codes of the samuari, such as drinking excessively. Nevertheless, Hirari took his own form of honor to heart, which contained bits and pieces of the samurai form of strict honor.
A year after Shinaro's murder, Hirari was exposed to sorcery. Intrigued by this new form of combat, Hirari began to delve into it through his various contacts throughout the lands. After he summoned nine spirits to understand them (thinking he could handle it all), they turned on him and possessed his body.
After six-thousand years, Hirari has discovered how to manipulate each of the spirits in his body in order to keep control of himself. Before he developed this control, though, he was on quite the killing spree, massacring entire towns and villages. Hirari is not inherently evil; the nine spirits, each representing a different layer of Hell, are.
His green-bladed katana is named M'taal'nor (meh-tall-nore), which means "stone cutter" the the Old Tongue.
Hirari has several magical powers due to his being a Shade:
1. Flight
2. Possession
3. Telepathy
4. Electricity Magic
5. Darkness Magic
6. Earth Magic
7. Flame Magic
8. Invisibility
9. Celerity (super-fast movement; impossible to see unless you are a Vampire, Shade, have fought someone who uses celerity many times, or if you're in celerity through some other magical means. He appears as a blur of movement to those who can see him; to others, it's like he's teleporting.)
